When it comes to using your AirPods with a computer, you may be at a loss. Things happen! Fortunately, the solution isn’t difficult to find.
Apple has a page that may help you get the information you need for every model computer, and we’ve put together a simple guide to get you started. There are a few things to keep in mind before we get into the specifics of this process. We’ll start with a Mac.
Make sure your Mac’s os is up to date before you proceed. To learn more about your computer’s history, open the “About This Mac” menu by clicking the Apple emblem in the upper left corner of your desktop. The “Software Update” button will appear on a new screen.
AirPods 2nd generation requires Mojave 10.14.4 or later and AirPods Pro requires Catalina 10.15.1 or later, as per Apple’s specifications. Using these simple instructions, you can now connect your AirPods to your Mac with ease.
After putting them in their case, press and hold the little back-facing button on the AirPods for a few seconds until a white status light begins to blink. The “Add a device” window in the Bluetooth settings of your PC should then display your AirPods, where you may click to pair and connect.
Easy Ways to Connect Airpods to Laptops
First, open System Preferences. Afterward, restart your computer. If you still can’t find it, look for the gear-shaped desktop icon. Spotlight (the focusing glass in the upper right corner of your desktop) can also be used to find System Preferences.
In the System Preferences, you’ll see an icon for Bluetooth. Open the case’s lid and place both AirPods inside. The AirPod case has a button that you may press and hold. Once the white blinking light starts, you’re all set. You can release the button once it’s done. Take a few moments for your AirPods to show up on your devices, then tap Connect. Now we’re done, right? Be aware that if you cannot see your AirPods, you should first make sure that Bluetooth is switched on, and then resume the process.
Connecting your Mac to your AirPods is a breeze.
So what if you don’t have an Apple computer? In any case, the steps should be nearly the same. In a nutshell. The Bluetooth page’s URL will remain the same, and that’s about it. There are a number of ways to get there, including:
Open Settings from the Start menu on a computer.
To add a Bluetooth or other device, click the + sign next to “Add Bluetooth or another device” in the list of devices.
In order to pick your AirPods once they appear on the screen, simply open the AirPods case lid and hold the button until they appear.
Afterward, you’ll be able to click “Done.”
Desktop PCs, in particular, are not equipped with Bluetooth by default. However, if you’re using a laptop, you’re more than likely to have access to Bluetooth.
Charge your AirPods before putting them in their case.
Open the Start menu and select Settings. Over the top of the power button is a gear-shaped icon. Alternatively, you can put “Settings” into the Start menu’s search box.
From the Start menu, select Settings.
Then select “Devices.”
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on at the beginning of the “Bluetooth & other devices” section. Right-sliding the switch and painting it blue are the proper ways to do this.
When prompted, select “Add Bluetooth or other devices” to get started.
Then click the Add Bluetooth button after you’ve made sure Bluetooth is on in the settings. By Dave Johnson/Biz Insight “Bluetooth” can be selected in the “Add a device” window. Open the lid of your AirPods case. After pressing and holding for a few seconds, the case’s status light will begin to blink white, indicating that it’s charging.
You can pair your AirPods with just a press of a button on their protective case rear. You should see the AirPods in the device list that can be paired with your PC. “AirPods” may appear as “Headphones,” before changing to “AirPods” after a few seconds.” AirPods” will appear in the drop-down menu.
The AirPods should show up in the list of gadgets once they are in pairing mode. After connecting to the AirPods, a success message will appear on the screen. Click the “Done” button to complete the process. The AirPods can now be used to listen to PC audio.
Upon completion of the Bluetooth configuration, click “Done” and exit Settings.
